What Is An OddsAlert?

An OddsAlert is something that will help provide you with the odds you are looking for by alerting you, essentially. If you feel that a team or player is unfairly priced by bookmakers and you think it will revert back to a higher price, or you simply want slightly better odds before you decide to bet on an outcome, you can wait for OddsPortal to alert you with that exact price, or maybe even a better one.

You have the ability to set your desired odds for a specific market, with those odds being decimals, fractions, American, or another format depending on what you prefer, and you will receive an OddsAlert when the odds are either met or exceeded. An OddsAlert can't currently be set for specific betting sites, so you will receive an OddsAlert for any of our online bookmakers.

If you want to ensure you can make the most of any OddsAlert by being registered with each of our online bookmakers, you can always claim betting bonuses we have available at each of them when you sign up as a new player.

When Might an OddsAlert be Useful?

If you are looking to bet on a particular outcome, for example a team to win, and you're waiting for specific odds before you decide to take a punt, an OddsAlert will tell you exactly when to take advantage and which online bookmaker has the odds you have been waiting for.

How Do I Turn On An OddsAlert?

You will firstly need to navigate to the event in which you are looking to be notified of when odds reach or exceed a certain value and make sure the market is on the one you want, i.e. 1x2Over/UnderBoth Teams to Score, or another market. You can easily find today's events and what is coming up by heading to the next matches page.

From there, you will need to scroll down to find where it says "OddsAlert Notify me when odds reach or exceed a certain value" and tick on the fact that you would like to receive an OddsAlert. Finally, you will be prompted to enter the odds you would like for the specific market in the odds that you have set up on your OddsPortal account, so for example 5.0 if you are on decimal odds.

This will then mean you will receive an OddsAlert if those odds are either reached or exceeded with one of our trusted online bookmakers, and you can then lock in that price provided you are registered with a betting site which has those odds available.

Where Will An OddsAlert Be Sent To?

Currently, you will receive an OddsAlert via your email addressed attached to the registered account with OddsPortal. There might be a scenario in the future in which you will receive an OddsAlert via a notification or another source, but for now it will be through your email address only.

So, if you have decided to tick on OddsAlert for a game, make sure to keep an eye on your emails and have notifications on to be ready if a price has changed in your favour.

Who Can Receive an OddsAlert?

In order to receive an OddsAlert, you will need to be a registered user with OddsPortal, which is completely free to do! Simply create your username and password, confrim your email address, and you will be signed up.

From that moment on, anytime you want to tick on OddsAlert for a market of a game you are looking to bet on, you can receive an email when the odds you want have been reached or exceeded thanks to OddsPortal.
